How to generate a dump for the PCSOFT Hotline ?
Sometimes when using the WINDEV editor something goes very wrong with no usable error message. There is however a way to report the problem to the Tech. Support : sending an error dump. Here is how to proceed:
- open the “About window” with the editor menu “?”
- CTRL+click on the logo
- Enable for 10 days
- close and restart WINDEV (or WEBDEV or WINDEV MOBILE)
Now recreate the error, a debugging dump will be created in the X:\PCSOFTDUMP folder, where X is the drive where the product is installed.
- send the dump file (ftp or file sharing site) to the Tech.Support
